Sandy graduated from Eden Prairie High School and from Minnesota School of Business as a Legal Secretary. After working several years, she moved to Ohio, where she met her husband and became an Ohio State fan. They moved to Chicago for ten years, adopted a family of three children, and then moved to Fort Wayne to raise their children. As an older student, she was blessed to be able to attend Indiana University in Fort Wayne at night and graduated with a BA in English.After her husband died, she moved back to the area. She has 10 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Her job at OSLCS is Membership Secretary. Working with members is such a joy to her! This is her third time working in a church. In the Chicago area she worked as School Secretary for a teaching principal and in Fort Wayne she worked as Business Manager for a large church with a grade school of about 450 students.She has also worked in the legal field and she and her husband owned a sales firm for about 25 years. She really enjoyed selling semi-trailers for a subsidiary of NorthAmerican Van Lines.

She loves to read and may get back into sewing and needle work. A family hobby was building and flying model rocket and then high power rocketry, upscaling and building rockets that required a10,000 ft. FAA clearance to fly!
